...i shouldn't have been so short with Lister. It's just when someone declares basic science to be an "idiotic conspiracy theory", it has a tendency to cause an emotional response.

i discovered in 2003 that the US TV networks broadcast fake "planes" on 9/11. One of the immediate goals of doing this was to prepare the US public for wars of aggression in the Mideast.

The White House seems determined to escalate the present conflicts to a world war. Almost every day we read of new threats from the White House or by Israel to attack Iran. (Iran, by the way, is violating no laws with its nuclear program. Meanwhile, nearby Israel has many nukes and has a history of aggressive warfare.)

As we watch the world around us disintegrate into madness those cartoon 911 planes become increasingly important. Public awareness about those bogus planes is still the only way to stop the coming world war.

That's why I am devoting so much attention here to this idea. I know most hobbyists come here to have fun and exchange info and that's it. However, if everyone who visits this site could just take a look at why those planes had to be fake, then perhaps we can stop the coming world war. Then perhaps we can go back to being hobbyists again.

This argument is pretty weak for several reasons. For one, the government has a track record of keeping secrets. For example, 40 years after the Moon landings were faked the government still insists they took place. (Or, human beings made multiple, 500,000 mile round-trips to the Moon with the computing power of a calculator. Since this took place the farthest that humanity has travelled in space is about 100 miles.)

Another reason the argument is weak is it assumes that a rag-tag group of ex-farmers managed to defeat the combined defenses of the United States. What's harder to believe? That a coup d'etat took place on 9/11, or a small group of ex-farmers destroyed all seven World Trade Center buildings?

the final reason the argument fails is no planes struck the WTC. It was all just a media hoax. If you doubt this, consult "September 11 Clues" which is all the rage these days.
